The Audience Insights Analyst will lead efforts to analyze the behavior, needs, and networks of our audiences and determine opportunities for engagement and growth. Working alongside the marketing team, you will be charged with examining, analyzing and making strategic decisions about the future direction for the organization’s brands based on analysis and examination of listener data. You will seek out new insights leading to organizational growth across all of the organization’s brands.

You will be responsible for tracking our audience across platforms, leveraging both internal and external data sets in support of various internal departments. Candidates for this position must have comprehensive knowledge of the industry, media metrics, content consumption trends, and the current audio landscape. You should be comfortable working with data-based analyses, presentations and demonstrate an ability to draw conclusions based upon data.

This is an opportunity for an organized, driven, enthusiastic analyst with a proven track record. You must have a demonstrated passion and willingness to dig into the numbers to find and deliver meaningful insights, reports, analysis, and actionable recommendations to a variety of departments including fundraising, marketing, operations, IT, station services and finance. You will primarily work on PRX / PRI nationally-distributed programming and podcasts; as well as our Radiotopia Network.



  • Works collaboratively across departments to ensure reporting and tracking meets their unique needs and facilitates savvy decision making across the business
  • Establish strong communication system to best support relationships with colleagues
  • Working closely with fundraising, measure and evaluate campaign effectiveness
  • Interpret complex analyses and present unbiased findings and recommendations as appropriate
  • Provide station services with critical data and recommendations to help them with station sales and relations
  • Works with internal and external data sources to track and analyze content performance across all measurable platforms; with this track performance and revenue projections
  • Generate, maintain, and improve the efficiency of existing reporting and analyses that inform and guide subsequent marketing and fundraising strategies
  • Actively keeping on top of the best tools and resources for qualitative and quantitative; become a resident expert on PRX Metrics, Google Analytics, Salesforce, Tableau, etc.
  • Work as a team to develop, apply, and maintain standard data and reporting practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports
  • Interprets and presents findings to internal and external partners in an easy-to-understand way and makes recommendations based on the data collected and our business objectives
  • Synthesizes information into clearly-written reports for various projects
  • Manages relationships with data tool vendors and actively researches new advancements in industry tools/vendors
  • Supports development campaign and grant-writing departments with metric and content reports
  • Works quickly to pull accurate market research that responds to requests from internal and external partners and meets deadlines
  • Utilizes data on consumers, competitors and marketplace to consolidate information into reports and presentations
  • Gains insight into customer attitudes and needs through qualitative and quantitative research
  • Collaborate with creative services and marketing on presentations to ensure accuracy and clarity
