PRX is seeking a determined self-starter with terrific organizational skills to coordinate Project Catapult, an innovative podcast training program with public radio stations. The Project Catapult Coordinator, reporting to and working closely with the Catapult Project Manager, will oversee daily operations of Project Catapult and play a critical role in the success of the program.
The Coordinator will manage the program's logistics especially those related to the 20-week training program which includes an initial week-long boot-camp, monthly two-day creative reviews, a virtual speaker series and a final live showcase at a theater - all in Boston. The teams selected to participate in Project Catapult will be based around the country and the Coordinator will be working remotely with many different types of people. The Coordinator will set-up systems to facilitate regular, constructive communication between the training teams and PRX. The Coordinator will maintain the website https://catapult.prx.org/, assist with social media related to the Project, help plan conference presentations, and troubleshoot technical issues. The Coordinator will track expenses in ways that satisfy the needs of PRX's accounting team and the grant funder, plus gather material necessary for quarterly progress reports to the Corporation of Public Broadcasting (CPB).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to stay flexible and constructive in a fast-moving environment
- A love for setting up efficient processes and training others in how to use them
- Experience using collaborative, online project-management tools (e.g. G-Suite, Asana, Insightly, Slack, and Zoom)
- Willingness to learn A/V systems, audio recording equipment and editing software
- Experience managing and tracking a budget
- Experience planning and executing live events
Nice to Haves:
- Familiarity with the public radio system and its values
- Experience working with creative people or on creative endeavors

This position will report to PRX’s Catapult Project Manager. As a member of the PRX Training Team, the Coordinator will work closely with the PRX Director of Training and the Podcast Garage Community Manager.

With funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, PRX Project Catapult assists public radio stations in developing podcasts significant to their audience. The Project Catapult Coordinator is a full-time position grant-funded for two-years, with the possibility of continuation. This position is based in Boston and will require flexible hours.
